About Rocholz

Rocholz GmbH specialises in adaptable and ergonomic packing table systems including compatible cutting systems and gift-wrapping dispensers for decorative packaging in retail. It also manufactures metal table frames under the WAKI brand for (home) office, trade, hospitality and commercial sectors, and carries out sheet metal processing for all industries.

One of our main focuses is ergonomic and therefore age-appropriate workplace design – an increasingly important aspect with regard to the demographic development. We will show you what is important when planning your workplaces and how significant your cost savings can be. Be it a packing or picking station, incoming or outgoing goods, our modular workplace systems can be optimally integrated into the material flow and adapted to the requirements of the people working there. Our modern digital assistance systems also support people ergonomically, and enable an error-free execution of work steps.

Adventurous Evolution

The current jubilee of the family business Rocholz as a leading manufacturer of ergonomic workstations systems is only a snapshot of the 110 years of company growth. The company founder Otto Hüdig began in 1904 with the production of lock and fitting parts, as did many companies at that time in the region. Only shortly thereafter, following market demand, he developed the first tear-off machine for paper, followed by a dispenser and cutter for twine and packing tape.

In the euphoric mood of the fifties, Walter Rocholz - in the second generation - established two new and very successful business segments. Whereas one segment produced vendor parts for the automotive industry, the other focused on the production of special packing tables with cutters for industrial and retail dispatch departments.

This commitment is also documented in the requirement specifications of the current development stage, which is being pursued vigorously.

On this foundation, his sons Gerd and Winfried Rocholz systematically developed new products in packaging technology and workstation systems for plant logistics. The new challenge, the globalisation of markets, was already addressed in the seventies with vigour and the in-house commitment to high standards of "quality in form".
